Joe Suspect newest release, “Cheating the Cheaters”, is now available to the public. The new disc is filled with rockin’ blues, swing and even a cajun flavored tune. Along with a few straight-ahead rockers the disc also has a Drifters flavored song on it. Joe Chinnici, producer of “Bullet Holes In The Exit Signs”, was again at the helm for the bands second release. Look for the return of Jim Black on bass, Mike Simmons on drums and the addition of guitar slinger Dave Basila and Gordon “G-Man” Polson in the band line up. Joe Chinnici did all the horn work (including some Trombone work) and he also covered all the vocal duties on the release.

The songs for the band’s second major release are more up-tempo as compared to the more acoustic-story type songs on ‘Bullet Holes'. The new disc is filled with ripping guitar and sax solos, and toe-tapping grooves laid down by the rhythm section. The band wants to thank Hurricane Records for their support, and a big thanks to all the fans that have written and asked about the progress on the CD over the last year.

The Mugshot, the official band newsletter, covers all the latest news about the band.  The well renowned Ralph Copperfield, editor-in-chief of The Mugshot, has known the members of Joe Suspect for some time and has access to inside information about the band that outside sources never get.   Every issue is filled with band facts and up-to-date information, along with a commentary from Ralph.

WHAT’S BEING SAID:
“Now we get this fresh sounding tune from Joe who these days calls his band “Joe Suspect,” and they’re sounding better than ever…the tune opens with a drum solo that sounds organic and natural. The saxes come in next, sounding good, before the band and vocals kick in…The well rehearsed band must have made it easier for Joe to do a good recording job---the playing sounds as natural as the mix.”

“Joe has made some nice progress and we congratulate him and his cohorts on a fun recording.”
