This is a picture of the Mayor's office just hours
before we were to arrive for our civil ceremony. Because of a thunderstorm the night
before, we had to quickly make last minute changes in our plans (the aperitif on the river
bank was a muddy impossibility)! While Christophe's father and I whisked
through town hoping to rent the local hall, I saw Xavier hanging hand-made tissue roses
from the windows of le Maire, and scattering laurel leaves on the ground for good
luck. With all we had to do, we were going to need it!
