Somehow we managed to arrive on time,
and once inside, our friends and family surrounded us as we agreed to our financial
responsibilities and obligations as a family. Much to my delight, the Mayor surprised
us all by switching to English when addressing me. It was a wonderful gesture as I know it
was difficult for him and that he must have practiced just for us. After a kiss,
some paperwork and a warm speech from the Mayor, we were pronounced Madame et Monsieur
Delsol! |
